Raelynne Woo

Hello! My name is Raelynne Woo and I am a writer and editor from the greater Seattle area.

I graduated with an MFA in creative writing and poetics from UW Bothell in June 2023. My BA degrees are in both writing studies (creative writing) and arts, media, and culture which I received from the UW Tacoma in 2021. I also received minors in my other passions - education and dance. Recently, I completed an editing certificate from the University of Washington. 

My professional experience includes copywriting, technical writing, tutoring college students in writing, peer facilitating university writing classes, community event coordination, and editing/ghostwriting children's books. My work has been published in the University of Washington journals, namely Tahoma West and The CROW. 

Creative writing interests of mine include poetry, short stories, and children's stories. The topics I likes to write surround identity, diversity, and lessons of compassion and kindness for young kids. I am especially interested in reading, researching, and editing children's books.

In my free time, I like to engage in creative outlets which include dancing, baking, crocheting, traveling, and visiting my local library and reading another stack of picture books in the "children's section."
